The GRR Annual Fishing and Appy Feast was held in May 2017 at Buttle Lake.
It was a tight race regarding who caught the largest trout. No one was keeping track of the length or weight of their fish, to my knowledge, so we had to rely on the absolute true veracity of the trout fishermen, who never lie or exaggerate.
I do know that Art caught a nice fish on his last day, and that Dennis definitely caught the most fish, with Peter being a close second. But we were all winners when you consider the fun & camaraderie we shared.
We all got together for a fish fry the night before most folks left. It was a wonderful meal, as usual! The day before, we had gathered for our annual “Cholesterol Brunch”, which included bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, pancakes, beans, fruit and champagne & orange juice & coffee.
Already we are looking towards next year.
