Our club’s tradition is to hold a fishout and picnic each April at Elk Lake.
In 2017 the weather kept the fishermen off the water. Also several of the members chose not to fish since there were busy cooking pasta sauce.
The theme for this year’s picnic was a pasta sauce competition. Five variations were offered for tasting. They were all good with the winning sauce, a baby back rib creation by Alison Franklin was voted as the favourite.
There were also many wonderful salads, breads and desserts to accompany the pasta dishes.
