Fresh Water:

1. Rob – Prospect 8 RB 1.5-2.0 lbs (gang troll), nothing on Flies
2. Colin – 11 RB and 1 Bass, Robs fly, Pumpkinhead, Leech, Beaded Nymph.
3. Bill – Durrance – 2 RB on Beaded Leech
4. Brian – Langford – Choronimid – Small Black fly
5. Bob – Cowachin River – no fish, ant hatch, lovely nature walk and casting practice, river was beautiful, insect hatch was up river of  Spring Pool
6. Sandy – saw a float tube on Elk Lake today in the wind and the rain
7. Match colour of fly to leaves, may increase fish caught.
8. Members were asked to bring in a sample of the flies used to catch the fish they report.

Fresh Water:

1. Rob – Fishout for Langford Lake Thursday, 9 May. 2019
2. Dennis – Elk Lake – went fishing last Tuesday, successful day. Possible new member. Plugs, off Hwy off weigh station, 39 ft deep and trolling at 24 ft.
3. Bob – Elk Lake, very busy yesterday, lots of bites on Pumpkinhead
4. Bill – Durrance – took Tommy Wong fishing, 1 fish, lots of hits
5. Barry – Durrance – lots of fish
6. Dale – Prospect – 2 Cut Throats, lots of RB
7. Art – Langford Lake, 1 strike.
8. Jim – showed Dagger Boards he used for his Pontoon Boat. Pontoon Boat available.

Salt Water:

1. Island Outfitters – Salmon Fishing is hot at Oak Bay, 18-20 lbs
2. There will be more pressure on Rock and Ling Cod with Coho and Chinook closures. This will cause a problem with Rock and Ling Cod stocks.

Fresh Water:

1. Rob – Fishout on Langford cancelled, decide next week which day.
2. Jim – Prospect – 18” RB, Nymphs, March Brown, Hares Ears, Bob – Pumpkinseed, 3 RB, Barry –  some nice RB, Pumpkinseed, Gray Woolly Worm and new fly with Rabbit Hair, Bill and son 6 RB, sinking line with Boobies and Beaded Leech Dave – 3 RB, “I have to learn how to fish from Pontoon Boat” as there is no  Keel and is very much effected by wind. A dagger board or bucket were suggested.
3. Ron –  Cowachin – 40 hits, 11 fish to hand, RB, Prince Nymphs and Hares Ear
4. Sandy – Would like to rent small car topper, middle May to middle of June.

2. Don’t eat big Bass over 4 lbs, Mercury Level High out of Elk Lake.
